In the vibrant city of Pforzheim, the annual City Cycling competition, part of the Climate Alliance network, got underway at the Kepler Gymnasium this week. A total of 723 cyclists and 49 teams have registered for the competition, which represents a 48% increase in teams compared to last year. Notable returning teams include the police headquarters team, the "Würmtalexpress", the Weber engineers, and the ADFC, who have participated several times in the past.

New participants this year include the "Caritas Pedal Heroes" and the NABU Pforzheim-Enz district. The financial support for the municipality and the Enz district's participation in the competition is provided by the state of Baden-Württemberg as part of the RadKULTUR initiative.
