A Local Fairy Tale Day Occurs in Wettenberg, Hessia
Ascension Day on May 29th will see Wettenberg-Wißmar, located in the Giessen district, transform into a fantastical realm for the 25th time. This annual event, dubbed the Hessian Fairy Tale Day, will feature a host of enchanting activities for children and adults alike.
The day promises an array of captivating events starting from the opening ceremony at 10:00 AM, which will welcome guests with speeches from local officials and storytellers. The event will also include a fairy tale parade, where participants dressed as beloved characters will parade through the village streets.
Multiple storytelling corners will be set up throughout the day, offering opportunities to immerse oneself in beloved Hessian and classic fairy tales. In addition, a puppet theater performance, creative workshops, and fairy tale-themed quiz games are also on the agenda. The festivities will conclude with live folk music and dance performances, followed by a closing ceremony.
