A nightly live performance, titled "In the Summer After 8," takes place at Halle Marktplatz during the summer season.
From the 7th to the 22nd of August, 2025, Halle (Saale) is set to host the summer cultural experience "Im Sommer nach 8". This evening event, taking place at the city’s main market square, offers a relaxed summer lounge atmosphere with live music, readings, theatre, cabaret, and dance performances by local artists.
Each evening, starting at 8:00 PM, the market square comes alive with a variety of genres, from jazz and opera to world music, schlager, and more. The event aims to cater to every taste, creating a diverse and entertaining programme that transforms the marketplace into a vibrant cultural and culinary hub.
The backdrop for this cultural extravaganza is none other than Halle’s notable landmarks, the Red Tower and the Marktkirche, adding an air of historic charm to the proceedings.
Guests can enjoy cool drinks and a wide array of street food from 6:00 PM, courtesy of Saxonia Catering’s food truck. The menu features build-your-own burgers, loaded fries, flammkuchen, vegetarian snacks, Bratwurst, steak, churros, and cupcakes.

- Sat, 16.08.25: Caracou performs Gypsy-Swing, Chanson / Jazz à la Manouche at 8 pm.
- Sat, 16.08.25: "Verliebt in Halle" children's festival takes place from 10 am to 3 pm.
- Sun, 17.08.25: Blue Stars perform New Orleans sound with groove, funk & soul.
- Thu, 14.08.25: "Mordsspaß" with Peter Godazgar and Ralf Kramp - black-humoured crime reading.
- Thu, 21.08.25: Mitteldeutsches Salonorchester & Annett Boose perform Women of music history.
- Sat, 16.08.25: From 8 pm, the five-piece band "Caracou" will perform French chanson and jazz.
