Air Quality Deterioration Reported in Neheim Region on September 20 Regarding Mobile Pollution
On September 20, 2025, a waste disposal vehicle will be making stops in the Neheim/Hüsten area. Here are the details of the schedule and the types of waste that will be accepted.
The vehicle will first stop at the parking strip in front of the community center in Holzen from 09.45 to 10.15. Next, it will move to the primary school in Herdringen from 09.00 to 09.30. The final stops will be at the parking lot Haarhofstraße in Voßwinkel from 10.45 to 11.15 and Ludgeriparkplatz in Hüsten from 14.30 to 15.00. The vehicle will also stop at Platz beim Feuerwehrgerätehaus in Bachum from 11.30 to 12.00.
It is important to note that only specific types of waste will be accepted at the vehicle. Accepted items include car batteries, lithium batteries, paints, varnishes, adhesives, solvent-containing products, used oil, cleaning agents, pesticides and plant protection products, mercury-containing products, energy-saving lamps, fluorescent tubes, chemicals, spray cans, and small electrical appliances with a maximum edge length of 40 cm x 40 cm.
However, certain items such as gas for lighters, gas lighters, gas cartridges propane/butane, gas burners/small for weeds, gas cylinders propane/butane, toner, cement bags, empty paint and varnish containers, and empty dispersion paint containers will not be accepted.
Transport and delivery to the waste disposal vehicle must be in closed containers/packaging with a maximum weight of 30 kg and a quantity limit of up to 30 liters capacity. Personal delivery should be made directly to the specialist staff of the waste disposal vehicle.
Residents are advised to take any unacceptable waste directly to the waste disposal center in Arnsberg, Hüstener Str. 15. The center is open Mo - Fr from 10.00 - 16.30, and Sa from 9.00 - 13.30.
A recent decision by the local waste management authority or municipal administration of Arnsberg states that from September 20, 2025, tires without wheels will only be accepted for a fee of 5.50 euros at the waste disposal center in Arnsberg, Hüsten Street 15.
