Alan Titchmarsh Praises King Charles' Green Commitment, Offers Monthly Gardening Guide

Veteran gardener Alan Titchmarsh has expressed admiration for King Charles' dedication to the natural world and gardens. Known for his extensive gardening knowledge and television appearances, Titchmarsh has written 'The Gardener's Almanac', a bedside book offering monthly insights into nature's rhythm.

Titchmarsh, an organic gardener for over four decades, encourages buying local produce and creating wildlife-friendly gardens. His favorite month, May, marks the start of spring, with bluebells and fresh green leaves. However, he finds February challenging due to the long winter and short days, finding solace in snowdrops.

The Gardener's Almanac offers monthly snippets about wildlife, music, weather, sunrise and sunset, a book recommendation, and a bird and wildflower for each month. It also includes gardening tips at the end of each chapter. Titchmarsh believes that people in urban areas can lose touch with the seasons due to the lack of changes in wildlife activity and plant growth. He hopes that the health and well-being benefits experienced during lockdown will keep new gardeners engaged with their gardens. Titchmarsh also dreams of seeing one or more of his novels adapted for the screen.

Alan Titchmarsh, a seasoned gardener and author, finds inspiration in King Charles' commitment to the natural world. His latest book, 'The Gardener's Almanac', offers a monthly journey through nature, encouraging readers to reconnect with the seasons and tend to their gardens. Titchmarsh's passion for organic gardening and wildlife-friendly spaces continues to inspire both seasoned and novice gardeners alike.
