At the first big board, you'll find Mankei Maxl, the region's mascot, ready to welcome you to the tour. As you progress, you'll encounter various landmarks, such as the centuries-old Stangermuehle mill at board 14, which is depicted in all its glory.
The riddles ask questions about the Trift, the former wood transport on the Ache, striking buildings along the way, and the Koenigssee itself. At station four, a riddle asks about the season when the trickles of the Nassen Wand freeze into icicles. At station eleven, you'll be asked about the Berchtesgaden craftsmanship and the name of the wooden puppets shown.
Throughout the tour, participants can scan a QR code to participate via their phone, eliminating the need to carry a physical flyer. For those who may find the hike a bit challenging, there's an option to take bus lines 840, 841, or 843 A/B for a fee of two euros per person, back to Berchtesgaden.
Upon completing the tour at station 19, the solution to the puzzle and the sought word can be obtained at the Tourist Information at the Königssee Parking Lot. As a small token of appreciation, all children who have successfully completed the tour receive a special gift.
