Animals are presently under care: Meckelfeld Animal Board marks their one-year anniversary
The Pet Pantry 'Paws & Blankets', located in the Helbach House in Meckelfeld, continues to distribute food donations to support pets in need. This community initiative, which has been operating for a year, is now open to Seevetal residents who can provide proof of income.
The pet pantry, housed in a former coat check area, is committed to helping those with limited financial means who are struggling to provide for their pets. Food for pets is distributed every third Friday of the month, from 10:30 to 12:00, with the next opening day scheduled for September 20.
Christine Boll, chairperson of Verein Besitzerhunde, has expressed gratitude to Seevetal's mayor Emily Weede and volunteer coordinator Sabine Strate for their cooperation. The pet pantry has more capacity and is open to caring for more pets.
Donations are welcomed at the pet pantry, and food donations can be made during the open hours. Special food can still be provided for pets with medical conditions or allergies, with a veterinarian's note.
If you are a resident of Seevetal and are in need of support for your pet, or if you wish to make a donation, you can register by phone at 04188 / 888 924. For more information, you can visit www.besitzerhunde.de.
