Annual Gem-A Photographer Contest Resumes in 2019!
The Gem-A Photographer of the Year competition is back for 2019, offering an exciting opportunity for anyone with a passion for both gemmology and photography. This renowned contest within the gemmology community invites participants to submit images showcasing the beauty and intrigue of gemstones, jewelry, or any aspect of the wider trade.

The competition does not have categories; instead, it seeks entries that display a unique interpretation of gemstones, gemmology, and the trade. Entries can range from photographs of jewelry, gemstone photomicrography, or scenes from gemstone mining or trading.
The winner will receive the accolade of being named Gem-A's Photographer of the Year and will see their winning entry published in Gems&Jewellery magazine. Moreover, the winner will receive a £300 voucher to spend at Gem-A Instruments and one year's free Membership of Gem-A.
Two runners up will win a £50 Gem-A Instruments voucher. Additionally, all three winning entries will be published in Gems&Jewellery magazine. Winners could even be featured on the cover, Last Impression, or Big Picture feature page of the magazine.
