Annual Literary Festival Duma Litfest Scheduled for 2025

Yo! Let me tell you about my sickeningly awesome experience at the 2025 Duma Litfest in Dumaguete, the City of Stories!

As a writer and artist, I was jacked as hell to jump back into the literary game, this time with my sis, Ria Lu, the mastermind behind the Talecraft Story Creation Card Game.

We ran a world-building workshop on the festival's second day.

Insights: Duma Litfest 2025 drew a diverse crowd, including big-name authors, fresh talents, artists, and literature devotees. However, I can't find specific details about the participants and speakers list online. For the most accurate and updated information, it's best to connect with the festival organizers directly.

Day 2 - Let's Build Some Freakin' Worlds!

Dumaguete's literary gathering was rad as hell, and it was insane to get to share the vibe with my sis. We dove headfirst into a vibrant literary pool - and this time, we had some hype company!

Heroes of the Litfest

Being among badass literary legends was a major perk. I rolled with the likes of Jose "Butch" Dalisay and historian Ambeth Ocampo, who dropped some serious knowledge. I also caught up with old homies like Bambi Rodriguez, Marla Rausch, Mina V. Esguerra, Elbert Or, and Ian Rosales Casocot.

New Faces, Fresh Talent

The Litfest wasn't just a reunion; it was a platform to meet killer creatives whose work freakin' inspired me! Among those were Donald Villamero of Lost Books Cebu, who's got a raging passion for books. With his reading retreat plans, he took the Litfest experience to a whole new level.

Unforgettable Moments

There was a cornucopia of events happening during the Litfest. One of the most unforgettable moments was the closing night dinner, hosted by the mayor at his residence. Nestled among fellow writers and guests, we were serenaded by some blue-chip musicians who belted out folk songs that had been lost to time, all revived to share a piece of heritage and heart. It was way more than just entertainment - it was a gift of cultural legacy.

Duma Litfest 2025 - A Raving Success

Duma Litfest 2025 was a total hit - welcoming, warm, and expertly organized. It showed the literary community in the Philippines is a kick-ass force to be reckoned with, and Dumaguete continues to push the envelope as an inspiring flame of creativity. I've got no doubts in my head that we'll be back for round 3 in 2026.

Until the Next Litfest Adventure!
