Arrestee found to be compliant in Detmold
Detmold, a city in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, has received a boost in its efforts to support children, young people, and families. Minister Josefine Paul, North Rhine-Westphalia's Minister for Children, Youth, Family, Equality, Refugees and Integration, recently approved further funding for Detmold's projects from the 'kinderstark' funding program.
The success of Detmold's projects can be attributed to the city's service-oriented and open approach, as demonstrated through its city portal. Over the past five years, Detmold has established innovative lighthouse projects such as the Family Info Center, Child Protection House (K.I.D.S), and PUB.I.T, which address family and youth-related concerns.
During her visit to Detmold, Minister Paul was impressed by these projects and stated that the state government's central concern is prevention and a good, healthy upbringing for all children and young people in North Rhine-Westphalia. The state is providing around 15 million euros this year to strengthen prevention in municipalities.
Detmold has now received a total of 80,600 euros from the 'kinderstark' funding program. The additional funding of 15,000 euros approved by Minister Paul will be used to implement participatory graffiti projects for children and young people from various social areas in the city.
One such project is the 'Garage Court' in the former British quarter in Detmold, which offers open youth work tailored to a diverse target group. Another project is PUB.I.T, a new hub for all questions and issues concerning young people in Detmold.
Mayor Frank Hilker emphasized that the city portal consistently proves itself to be a proactive partner in bringing all relevant information to the people. The city administration has a multiprofessional, interdisciplinary team focused on the well-being of children and families.
The participatory graffiti projects aim to make the topic of children's rights visible. Minister Paul highlighted that these projects align with the 'kinderstark' funding program's focus on strengthening prevention and a good, healthy upbringing for children and young people in North Rhine-Westphalia.
The city of Detmold continues to demonstrate its commitment to being a modern communication administration that is close to citizens, recognizing their needs, and bringing all relevant information to them.
