Astana's Mayor discusses plans for new parks and boulevards in the city.

The city of Astana is undergoing a significant transformation, with a focus on creating a more verdant and welcoming environment. One of the most exciting projects is the Park of Peace and Accord, a new green space that is nearing completion.

Located within the Park of Peace and Accord, the 'Starry Sky' tunnel is just one of the many attractions that will soon be available for residents and guests of the capital. The park, which stretches along the Yesil River, is part of a comprehensive improvement of the park cluster in the city.

The first phase of a new pedestrian boulevard, known as the Green Line, is nearing completion. This over 3.5 km long corridor, which runs from Kultegin Street to Anet Baba Street, is scheduled to be finished by the end of October. The exact completion date for the entire Green Line, specifically the section from Kultegin Street to Anet Baba Street, is set for October 2025.

The Green Line is designed to offer a comfortable green corridor with large trees, perennial shrubs, and a shady environment for relaxation and walks. Along its route, you will find playgrounds, sports facilities, rest areas, modern urban furniture, and more.

The Park of Peace and Accord is not just a collection of green spaces and pedestrian routes. It is intended to be a comfortable place for everyone, reflecting the values of peace, accord, and spiritual unity. The central element of the park is the Tree of Life, a symbol of eternity, harmony, and the connection between generations. Four installations with symbolic meanings will be placed around the Tree of Life.

The park also features cascading waterfalls and improved embankments, such as those in Atatürk Park and the Triathlon Park. This year, over 1 million green plants will be planted in the capital as part of this transformation.

Each installation in the Park of Peace and Accord is carefully designed to contribute to the overall harmony and tranquility of the space. The park is more than just a beautiful addition to the city; it is a testament to Astana's commitment to creating a more livable, sustainable, and enjoyable city for all its residents and visitors.
