Autumn Pilgrimage Week Celebration in Bischofsheim: October 6 - 11, 25
The Rhön Klubgruppe Fulda has announced an exciting Hiking and Nature Experience Week set to take place from October 6th to 11th, 2025, in the beautiful Rhön region. Organised by the Rhön Club Bischofsheim-Kreuzberg e.V. and the Tourist Information Bischofsheim, this event promises a week filled with breathtaking hikes and captivating experiences.
The week will kick off with an official opening and guest welcome at 9 am in the historic Rentamt in Bischofsheim i.d.Rhön. On Tuesday, a hike from Züntersbach to Burg-Schwarzenfels is planned, while on Wednesday, participants will visit the Fruchteteppich in Sargenzell and embark on an additional tour called Weinbergwanderung from Hünfeld. Thursday's schedule includes the "Klosterteich Runde" hike from Dürrnhof to Maria Bildhausen, with a lunch break at the Klostergasthof.
On Friday, the program features an additional tour called "Die Kreuzbergtour," leading to the old vineyard and ending with a surprise. The extra tour "Der Strahlunger" will take place on Saturday. Notably, the inaugural hike of the anniversary week will lead from Gersfeld through the Gichenbachtal.
Each day, hikers are expected to bring their own lunches, as no eating options will be available. However, a celebration for the 40th hiking week with a communal meal, coffee, and cake will take place at the Rentamt on Friday afternoon.
The prices for this event are as follows: the daily price per hiker is 5 euros. For holders of the Bischofsheim guest pass and Rhön Club members, the price is reduced by 1 euro per day, if the entire daily program is booked. Children under 8 years old do not pay, while children aged 9 to 14 get a reduced price equal to half the daily price.
