Awards Highlights: Top 8 Lifestyle Choices Captivating Judges at our Fragrance Awards, Ranging from Candles to Body Mists

In the world of fragrances, the annual Fragrance Awards serve as a prestigious event that recognises the most innovative, effective, and high-quality scented products. This year, a panel of industry experts, including perfumers, beauty editors, dermatologists, marketers, and content creators, gathered to evaluate numerous submissions based on set criteria.

The judging process is thorough and meticulous, often spanning several weeks. Judges prioritise proven efficacy and the actual sensory impact of the fragrance over marketing hype or trends. They evaluate scents based on perfume family, innovation, longevity, and packaging, among other factors.

One of the standout winners this year is MALIN+GOETZ's room spray, which refreshes any area with an alcohol-free, advanced odour-neutralising technology. Its herbaceous and fresh scent of tomato injects a sense of calm. The spray won the Best Room Spray award.

Another notable winner is the genderless perfume by ARKIVE Headcare, which opens with an uplifting burst of mandarin, cassis, and tart rhubarb. Arkive Headcare's range of hair and skin fragrances won the Best Hair Fragrance award.

The Best Scented Body Oil winner is This Works Deep Sleep Beauty Oil, enriched with bakuchiol and sesquiterpenes, which enhances skin elasticity and smoothness, aids textural irregularities, and has a calming lavender, camomile, and vetiver scent.

The Best Scented Body Cream is Commune's Seymour Body Cream, featuring a nourishing blend of shea butter, cocoa butter, coconut oil, vitamin E, jojoba seed oil, sweet almond oil, and rosehip oil.

Sol de Janeiro's iconic body mist, featuring a blend of pistachio, jasmine, and salted caramel, won the Best Body Mist. The woody fragrance of the Best Scented Body Cream winner has top notes of grapefruit and lemongrass, heart notes of geranium, clary sage, and base notes of hiba wood and cypress.

In the candle category, the Best Scented Candle is a 100% natural wax blend encapsulating the scent of "rain hitting earth." The Best Candle Design winner is housed in a dark green glass vessel and evokes the sensation of wet earth and the sound of rain hitting pavement when lit. The relaxing aromatherapy blend with notes of eucalyptus, tea tree, jasmine, ripe citrus, mint, pine, and vetiver was the winner of the Best Candle Design.

The Wellbeing Pod Mini+ Essential Oil Diffuser by NEOM won the Best Home Innovation award. This waterless, wireless device allows for wellness rituals on the go.

The Fragrance Awards also highlighted brand responsibility factors such as sustainability and environmental impact. For example, the Best Candle Design winner is made of precious alabaster stone, and the Best Scented Candle is housed in a reusable glass container.

The judging panel for this year's Fragrance Awards included industry experts such as Alice de Parcq, Clémence Pellé, Nicola Bonn, and Suzy Nightingale. Suzy Nightingale, a judge, commented that she was delighted by the design, longevity, and nuanced notes of ARKIVE Headcare's fragrance.

These awards serve as a testament to the innovative and transformative fragrances that are shaping the market, offering consumers a wide range of choices that cater to their personal preferences and wellness needs.
