Couple, Simone and Florian Fuchs, had a scheduled appointment at Johanna Etienne Hospital on October 27th for Simone's high-risk pregnancy check-up. Explaining the necessity of their regular visits, Simone states, 'My results weren't stellar that day, so Dr. Margret Albiez expedited labor immediately.' After several hours, their newborn, Emil Fritz, was delivered, measuring 50 centimeters and weighing 3,420 grams. They express their joy over the smooth, successful delivery, stating, 'We felt fantastic about this place from the beginning.' Despite the initial difficulties following the pregnancy, Emil required hospitalization due to jaundice. However, they are now pleased to be back home. Florian Fuchs shares, 'Everything is going well now, and we're overjoyed to be at home.'

With a harsh day for health values, Dr. Margret Albiez promptly initiated labor. A few hours pass, and little Emil Fritz emerges: 50 centimeters tall and weighing a hefty 3,420 grams. "Over the moon that everything unfolded so easily and smoothly," they beam. "We possessed an extraordinary vibe here from the jump." However, the initial post-pregnancy days weren't a smooth ride: Little Emil was hit by jaundice. "Yet now everything's A-OK, and we're thrilled to be back home," chirps Florian Fuchs. He's currently enjoying a 4-month paternity break. "That's a plus, enabling us to adapt to one other," his spouse notes. "Since with the first child, you've little idea what to anticipate." Yet, one matter they were positive about—their first son would be christened Emil: "We chose that on our second date," Florian Fuchs chuckles.

Baby of the week 10.11 hits the Neuss Lukaskrankenhaus (Rheinland Klinikum), with his mother, Alina Tünsmeyer. Clocking 49 centimeters at birth and weighing 3,040 grams, this sweet Sunday boy is the second child of Alina and Jan Tünsmeyer. Big brother Maximilian (nearly four years old) was itching to whisk his mom and the baby home the following morning. The young family abides in Grevenbroich-Neukirchen, wherein Jan Tünsmeyer (36) was born and raised. They crossed paths around six years ago at the air force base in Cologne-Wahn. Alina (26), born and bred in Cologne, served as a civil servant in the administration. She's since shifted to the healthcare sector, working in the personnel department of a medical care center. Jan, having concluded his 12-year military tenure in 2019, is now an accountant for the Archdiocese of Cologne.

Alina and Jan Tünsmeyer collected memorable experiences at the Lukaskrankenhaus during the premature birth of their first son Max.
