Celebratory mood in Arnsberg: Two days filled with joy, ambiance, and camaraderie at the Lidl Germany Bike Tour

In the picturesque town of Neheim, the second and third stages of Germany's most important cycling race, the Lidl Germany Tour, took place last week, attracting thousands of spectators.

Organised by Tatjana Schefers, city marketing manager, and an engaged team from various departments of the city administration, the event was a resounding success. The city's first deputy mayor, Christopher Hilverning, expressed his delight, stating that it offered many residents and guests an unprecedented experience.

The market square in Neheim was transformed into a bustling hub, with an estimated 15,000 people counted on Friday alone. Popular stops for guests included the 'kinder joy of moving' actions, the Expo on the market square, and the beer garden at Goethestraße. Thousands of visitors lined the route and filled the streets, creating a great atmosphere.

Despite temporary street closures and no-parking zones, the event took place without any major incidents. The city of Arnsberg, along with Neheim, would like to express their sincere thanks to the State Chancellery NRW, Westlotto, and various sponsors, including WEPA, Sparkasse Mitten im Sauerland, A.L.S. Spedition, Grüne Energie with Greenbikes, Volksbank Sauerland, Veltins, and Quadflieg, for their support.

Lidl itself, serving as the main sponsor, name giver, and official freshness partner of the event, demonstrated its commitment to promoting sports and community events.

The event also saw the contribution of more than 350 volunteers, whose efforts ensured a smooth and enjoyable day for all. Approximately 700 businesses along the route were affected by the event, but the positive impact on the town's spirit and community more than made up for any inconvenience.

As the Lidl Germany Tour moves on to its next destination, Neheim and Arnsberg can look back on a successful and memorable weekend of sports, community, and camaraderie.
