Pierce Brosnan Unveils New Ceramics Collaboration with Hering Berlin
Ceramic vases crafted by Pierce Brosnan and Hering Berlin delve into themes of love, grief, and rebirth.
Acclaimed actor Pierce Brosnan has ventured into a new creative realm, partnering with German luxury fashion house Hering Berlin for a ceramics series titled "So Many Dreams". This collaboration, which marks Brosnan's experimentation with new materiality, form, and function, was initiated by Hering Berlin and took place in 2023.
The first meeting between Brosnan and Stefanie Hering of Hering Berlin took place in Miami, setting the stage for a unique and innovative collaboration. The series comprises three vessels, each limited to 25 editions, and are named 'Mirage', 'Tryst', and 'Solitude'.
Brosnan's works have been showcased in numerous exhibitions since the debut of "So Many Dreams". These pieces, which explore themes of love, loss, and renewal, are a departure from his previous two-dimensional artworks. For this collaboration, Brosnan selected Hering Berlin's 'Tropo' vases as his canvas, transforming them into 3D realizations of his drawings of the same name.
The "So Many Dreams" series, which includes paintings, phone drawings, script drawings, lino cuts, NFTs, and a short film, debuted in May 2023 in Los Angeles. It was later exhibited during Art Miami, further showcasing the collaborative effort between Brosnan and Hering Berlin.
The designs in the ceramics series are intended to work as stand-alone pieces but weave a narrative when arranged together, reflecting the ongoing creative partnership between Brosnan and Hering Berlin. This new ceramics collaboration with Hering Berlin is a continuation of Brosnan's art exploration and serves as a testament to their shared vision.
"So Many Dreams" is not just a step into a new medium for Brosnan, but a bold and creative leap that promises to captivate audiences and art enthusiasts alike.
