Citizens Bank Day in Germany: A Day of Engagement and Entertainment

On September 20, 2025, Germany will come alive with the fourth annual Citizens Bank Day at Dreiecksplatz and Theodor-Heuss-Platz. Over 80 clubs, initiatives, and organizations, including the Gütersloh Gliding Club, Malteser, Lippe-Ems rescue dog squad, Makerspace Gütersloh, ADFC, German Stroke Foundation, UNICEF, NABU local group, and the German Shepherd Dog Club, will participate in this exciting event.

The MuseumMobile of the Stiftung Haus der Geschichte Nordrhein-Westfalen will make a stop in Gütersloh, showcasing local stories and developments about the economy. For more information, visit www.buergertag.our website or contact the volunteer coordinator Elke Pauly-Teismann by email at hrnmtskrdntngtrslhd or by phone at 05241 / 82-3197.

Throughout the day, the stage program on Dreiecksplatz will feature music, theater, and dance performances. Wertkreis Beats will perform rock music at 2:30 pm. Other performers include the Gütersloh Citizens' Stage, choir "Zwischentöne", New Rock Opera Ensemble, and group "Wasilissa".

Visitors can find information, engage in conversation, and potentially find a volunteer position or new hobby at more than 50 white pagoda tents. The "Faces of Volunteering" will introduce themselves, and Dr. Clown e.V. clinic clowns will be on site as a walking act from 2 to 4 pm. The Lippe-Ems rescue dog squad will provide insights into their work.

Moderator Thorsten Wagner-Conert will lead short interviews on interesting topics. The ADFC will provide information about cycling, and the German Stroke Foundation will explain how to become a stroke navigator.

Small treats will be offered along the Kneipenmeile and at many stands. The event will run from 11 am to 5 pm, and the 22nd "Day of Self-Help" of the Gütersloh district will coincide with the Citizens Bank Day. The Gütersloh flying club will be present with a glider, adding an exciting touch to this day of community engagement.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to learn, engage, and enjoy in the heart of Gütersloh. See you there!
