Construction Begins: Residential Buildings Along Löbtauer Straße
New Residential Quarter "Froebel Courtyards" Breaks Ground in Dresden's Friedrichstadt
A significant new residential project, the "Froebel Courtyards," has begun construction in Dresden's Friedrichstadt. The Czech CTR Group is overseeing the project, with Dressler Bau, a company that previously built the "Marina Garden," carrying out the construction work.
The "Froebel Courtyards" complex will consist of 99 condominiums, including a mix of 2-bedroom apartments with balconies or terraces, as well as larger apartments with 3 to 5 bedrooms, spacious layouts, two bathrooms, and home office options for families. The average square meter price for the apartments is around 4700 euros, with the initial square meter price guaranteed only for the first buyers, according to Helena Raupach from the CTR Group.
The central courtyard of the "Froebel Courtyards" will be designed as a green oasis, offering recreational areas and varied seating options. All buildings in the complex will be barrier-free, with many apartments designed to be fully accessible. A garage with bike and car parking spaces, including spaces for wheelchair users, will connect the buildings.
The "Froebel Courtyards" project is significant as it aims to address the high demand for inner-city housing. Dresden expects around 20,000 new employees due to the microelectronics site, creating a need for housing. The construction of the "Froebel Courtyards" is scheduled to be completed by 2027.
The construction company responsible for building the "Froebel Courtyards" is Mattes & Peters Hoch- und Ingenieurbau GmbH. The project is being built on a plot of land on Löbtauer Straße in Dresden's Friedrichstadt.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the "Froebel Courtyards" was held today, marking the start of construction on this exciting new residential quarter in the heart of Dresden.
