Construction decision pending for the new build in Badsforstenrieder park by a male individual
In a significant development for public infrastructure in Munich's southwest, the reconstruction of the Forstenrieder Park Bath is progressing. The preliminary planning stage, overseen by Dr. Gabriele Jahn, Head of Personnel, Real Estate, Baths, has been completed.
The new facilities, set to span approximately 4,430 square meters, will include an indoor pool, a non-swimmer's pool, two children's wading pools (one indoor and one outdoor), and an outdoor pool. The reconstruction also includes a new outdoor pool and a sauna landscape, aiming to create a modern, combined sports and leisure facility, affectionately known as the 'Stäblibad'.
The Supervisory Board of SWM, in their latest meeting, welcomed the preliminary planning for the reconstruction of the bath. The board, chaired by Mayor Dieter Reiter, approved the project on July 10, 2025. Mayor Reiter expressed his welcome for the reconstruction of the 'Stäblibad', further emphasising its importance as a contribution to the region's public amenities.
Dr. Jahn and her team expressed their pleasure with the Supervisory Board's acceptance of their project. The offer will be supplemented by a slide, adding an attractive and fun element to the reconstructed bath.
While detailed information and a timeline for the reconstruction are yet to be announced, the community eagerly awaits the completion of this significant project. The Forstenrieder Park Bath is set to become a vibrant hub for recreation and leisure, further enhancing the quality of life in Munich's southwest.
In its evolution, the reconstructed Forstenrieder Park Bath will not only provide improved public amenities but will also contribute to an enriched home-and-garden lifestyle for locals, with the addition of an attractive slide. Upon completion, the modernized bath will serve as a lively center for recreation and leisure, elevating the region's overall lifestyle.
