Creative students from Rhine-Kreis Neuss construct eco-friendly Christmas tree ornaments
In the picturesque county of Rhein-Kreis Neuss, Germany, a unique and sustainable Christmas tradition has been unfolding. Over 130 students from various schools across the region have come together to create eco-friendly Christmas tree decorations that have added a touch of creativity and festivity to the county houses during the holiday season.
The participating schools include the School am Nordpark, Joseph-Beuys-Schule in Neuss, Martinusschule and Sebastianus-Schule in Kaarst, and the Mosaikschule in Grevenbroich. The Vocational Training Center Grevenbroich has also joined forces with these schools, lending its expertise to the project.
The students' decorations, lovingly crafted with sustainable materials, have been warmly appreciated by Deputy Directors Harald Vieten and Tillmann Lonnes. Their creativity and dedication have not only set the mood for citizens visiting the county houses but have also contributed significantly to creating a festive atmosphere.
The decorations, which range from intricate ornaments to beautiful wreaths, showcase the students' ingenuity and commitment to sustainability. The use of natural, recycled, or locally sourced materials ensures that this Christmas tradition remains environmentally friendly.
This inspiring project was accompanied by the Office of Building Management and the Office of Schools and Culture of Rhein-Kreis Neuss, further emphasising the county's commitment to promoting sustainable practices among its youth.
