Disney introduces Perks program, detailing the savings you'll enjoy:

In an attempt to retain subscribers for the long term, Disney Plus, like other streaming services, has introduced a loyalty program known as Disney Plus Perks. Launching today (May 30) in the United States, this program rewards subscribers for their continued support.

The program, as detailed on a new Perks webpage, is included in all subscriptions as a gesture of gratitude. Initially, the benefits will include discounts, sweepstakes, and other rewards, with Disney promising that "perks can drop anytime."

At launch, subscribers can take advantage of the following incentives:

  • A six-month free DashPass membership from DoorDash
  • A 20% discount on adidas.com and the adidas app
  • A 15% discount on purchases at Funko.com
  • A 15% discount on purchases at Loungefly.com
  • A three-month free trial of CLEAR
  • A two-month Super Duolingo free trial
  • A free in-game emoji from Disney Emoji Blitz
  • A chance to win tickets to the "Freakier Friday" World Premiere and see the all-new sequel before its August 8 theatrical release
  • A chance to win a four-night cruise on the Disney Destiny, the newest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, sailing from Ft. Lauderdale beginning November 2025
  • Early access to the closed release of Disney Pinnacle by Dapper Labs, along with until June 26th to claim a $10 Dapper Credit
  • Special summer savings at Walt Disney World® Resort, with rates starting from $99 per night at Disney's All-Star Sports Resort
  • A free MONOPOLY GO! and Star WarsTM TIE fighter in-game TOKEN

Hulu is also preparing to launch a complementary Perks program. While the rewards for Hulu are currently limited, they include the opportunity to win tickets to Lollapalooza, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and passes to Comic-Con® in San Diego. Additionally, subscribers may benefit from exclusive perks from partners such as Microsoft, Pure Green, and LG Electronics. There are also sweepstakes for items inspired by Hulu favorites like The Handmaid's Tale, A Complete Unknown, and Only Murders in the Building.

Disney emphasizes that participation in sweepstakes does not require additional purchases beyond the subscription fee. In total, subscribers with both Disney Plus and Hulu can enjoy 15 benefits, with more to come. It remains to be seen whether similar offerings will be introduced by rival streamers, such as Netflix, which has started offering mobile games within its app.

On social media, some subscribers have expressed a desire for grandfathered-in pricing or lower prices. One comment reads, "Nope. I don't want perks. Just lower pricing." This reaction underscores the ongoing challenge for Disney to balance the desire for value and exclusivity among subscribers.
