Earth's Anniversary Celebration 2022

Hip Hip Hooray for Mother Nature! 🎉

That's the vibe I'm getting today, and it's damn fine. Folks are out here showing their love and respect for the ol' Earth, and it's a sight to behold. Whaddya know? We may just save this planet after all.

This week, it's all about action, brother. It's about putting faith in the work that's being done - and the work that's yet to come. It's about recognizing our potential to make a difference, together.

To me, Earth Day isn't just about one day a year; it's about a fresh start, a chance to refocus and recommit to protecting our home, sweet home. It's about new conversations, new actions, and a new outlook. That's what keeps me hopeful, man. That's what keeps the fire burning.

And let me tell ya, we ain't kidding around. We're talking about real change, about doing better, being better. I mean, Elon Musk said it best: "Twitter's got enormous potential – I'll crack it open." We got the same potential, each and every one of us, and it's time we start using it.

So, what are we doing at Gardenuity, you ask? Well, we're stepping up our game, brother. For every garden sold between March and May 2022, we're planting a tree through One Tree Planted.com. Sounds simple, right? But it's all about small actions leading to big change.

We're thinking holistically, critically, about how our actions impact the world around us. We're focused on our environmental responsibility, building on the work we've been doing, and setting ambitious targets for the future.

Gardening's not just about growing pretty flowers, brother. It's about healing ourselves, each other, and the planet. As Arianna Huffington puts it: "Burned-out people will burn out the planet." We can't afford to ignore that connection anymore. It's time to connect the dots - between a sustainable planet and sustainable living.

Lana Constantine, our Vice President of Operational Logistics, sums it up perfectly: "Sustainability's not just about our supply chain – it's about educating our customers, too. That's why we're launching an upcycling program, where we turn old grow bags into new ones, or reuse them in the container gardening growing cycle." Creative, eh?

Across all our work, we know we gotta listen, react, and adapt. It's a shared challenge, a shared opportunity. At Gardenuity, we're all about creating gardens and gardening experiences that are good for people and the planet. So, let's say thanks to Mother Earth together, in our unique ways.

Growing together,

Donna Letier and the entire Gardenuity Team
