In the picturesque town of Exmouth, East Devon, two popular car parks - Maer Road and Queen's Drive Echelon - are now equipped with improved facilities for motorhome visitors. These updates, the result of a consultation with over 1000 respondents, aim to enhance convenience, manage anti-social behaviour, and address environmental concerns.

At Maer Road Car Park, motorhome users can now easily refill their water tanks with the installation of a freshwater tap. Additionally, concerns about inappropriate grey-water disposal have been addressed with the addition of new wastewater disposal points.

Over at Queen's Drive Echelon Car Park, visitors will find new parking bay markings to ensure a safe distance between vehicles during overnight stays.

These changes will not affect daytime parking, and payment for overnight stays is currently only via RingGo during a trial period, limited to two nights. Afterwards, visitors may not return for at least 72 hours. The overnight charge to stay in these improved car parks will rise from £11 to £20 per night during the initial trial.
