In the quaint town of Niederkrüchten, the Mühlrather Hof played host to an unforgettable outing for a group of seniors. Despite the somewhat mixed weather, the good spirits of the participants were not dampened.

The friendly team at the Senioren Stift, led by Claudia Flecken, ensured a pleasant stay at the beautiful excursion inn. The event, which required the use of multiple buses due to a high number of participants, was made accessible for walkers and wheelchairs, with a bus equipped with a ramp provided.

Driver Paul Britz was a great help to the organizers, navigating the group to the edge of the Hariksee, where the excursion inn stood picturesquely. Lively conversation took place over coffee and cake at the inn, with many stories about the sometimes eventful lives of the participants being shared.

Claudia Flecken expressed that it was another great experience, and suggested that next year, they could hear: 'Please board for the trip with the BürgerStiftung.' Lothar Beseler, a board member of the BürgerStiftung, was also present, contributing to the success of the outing.

Renate Wetzel and Elvira Biegel from the support association of the Malteser Stift were also in attendance, further enhancing the communal atmosphere. Some participants had tears in their eyes during the event, reflecting the deep impact of the outing on their lives.

The Malteser Stift and BürgerStiftung are organisations known for their charitable work and community support activities. The Malteser Stift often organises outings for seniors to promote social inclusion and wellbeing, while BürgerStiftung Lothar Beseler supports community-oriented projects, including initiatives for elderly care and recreational outings.

However, for precise details about their exact backgrounds and how regularly they provide outings for seniors in Niederkrüchten, local sources such as the organisations’ websites or community bulletins from Niederkrüchten would need to be consulted.

The seniors clearly enjoyed the chance to finally go on an outing again, making memories that will last a lifetime. It was a testament to the power of community and the importance of such events in enriching the lives of seniors.

The seniors appreciated the home-and-garden setting of the Mühlrather Hof, a perfect backdrop for their relaxing outing. As the Malteser Stift and BürgerStiftung continue their lifestyle initiatives, such as organizing outings for seniors, they strive to enhance home-and-garden experiences for their attendees.
