Enerbank Launches Pink: Market Intelligence Platform to Slash Residential Solar Costs

Enerbank, the developer, has launched Pink, a market intelligence platform designed to reduce customer service costs in residential solar management and electrification. The platform, which covers 130 million U.S. homes, offers free planning and analytics tools to energy providers in the $500 billion-plus market.

Pink identifies high-propensity homes for solar, HVAC, energy efficiency, and heat pump installations. It aims to lower customer service costs, which currently make up over half of residential solar project costs in the United States. OpenSolar estimates that streamlined customer service can remove $0.43 per W from solar costs.

Pink's success is evident in its partnerships. Haven Energy uses the platform to offer no-upfront cost solar products to eligible customers. 257, the company behind Pink, has also helped a rooftop solar partner reduce customer service costs by one-third. Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US has endorsed 257's data-driven tools for heat pump retrofits.

257 charges providers when they use Pink's data for marketing campaigns across various channels. The platform's ability to lower customer service costs and identify high-propensity homes makes it an attractive tool for energy providers looking to reduce costs and expand their customer base.
