Event at FEM*FESTIVAL Ingolstadt: Art Showcase

The Cultural Office of Ingolstadt is inviting artists to submit their applications for the FEM*FESTIVAL 2026, a collaborative project with the Equal Opportunities Office of the City of Ingolstadt. This year's festival aims to critically examine power structures and discuss current topics related to feminism, gender, diversity, and the societal and social consequences of different discrimination categories.

Submissions for a solo exhibition, thematically worked out by one person or a group or collective, are expected. The techniques for the submitted works are not limited and can include classical media like painting, sculpture, photography, as well as text, audio, video, objects, digital presentations, and performances. Material costs up to 1,000 euros will be covered upon presentation of receipts.
The quality and content of the work are the primary evaluation criteria for the FEM*FESTIVAL. The artistic presentation of the submitted work will also be evaluated by an expert jury.
The FEM*FESTIVAL traditionally opens with an exhibition vernissage. This year, the festival will run from February 26 to March 15, 2026, at the Gallery in the Theater, Schlosslaende 1, 85049 Ingolstadt.
The festival offers discursive offerings, lectures, and interactive workshops to broaden perspectives and question patriarchal structures. It presents outstanding artists from various fields such as theater, visual arts, performance, music, literature, and dance.
