Gear Up for an Impressive Exhibition at the New LEGO Discovery Centre Hamburg

Prepare for an awe-inspiring adventure as the thriving city of Hamburg is now anthill-sized! Over 100 stellar builders poured 25,000 tireless hours into creating iconic landmarks, such as the Elbphilharmonie and Hamburg City Hall, using more than 1.3 million Lego bricks in the new Lego Discovery Centre at Westfield Überseequartier. The smashing brainchild of Miriam Wolframm, general manager, opens to the public on June 13.
Take a gander at the Hamburgian Dom, landing bridges, the Volksför civic greenspace, the HSV sports arena, and FC St. Pauli's Millerntor Stadium painstakingly reconstructed brick by microscopic brick. A U3 train tromps through the pint-sized metropolis, as day shifts into night under the watchful scrutiny of thousands of carefully crafted Lego windowsill panes. "Crafting the Elphi's 1,500 panes required 100 backbreaking hours," Project Manager Robert Püschel attests.
Buckle up for a cosmic journey in the Lego spaceship! Families with kids aged two to twelve have the opportunity to unfold their creativity at this interactive haven, birthed by operator Merlin Entertainments in an alchemic fusion with the Lego Group hailing from Denmark. The gargantuan, play-centric haven sprawls across 3,000 m^{2} and features twelve imaginatively themed zones: In the "Extraterrestrial Crusade," construct a self-assembled Lego spaceship and control its digital movements in the cosmos. The "Expresso Imaginario" transports visitors to a rambling Lego universe by means of a virtual train ride.
Spend your free time tinkering in the "Tinker Workshop" or "Action Zone," where kiddos can go all-out with their custom-built Lego characters and vehicles, even conquering zany tracks that include a breathtaking loop. Zany assistants tagged as "Playmakers" will spring into action to help children with any dampers that might steer them off-course.
Younglings can lay free rein to their whims in the Duplobricks Park with oversized Lego bricks. Grown-up Lego aficionados can unwind after clocking out with adult-oriented meetups where they can fuel their Lego mania unabashedly.
Prepare to be spellbound by a 4D cinema experience, where exhilarating Lego flicks unfurl, including a nail-biting chase in Lego City, propelling spectators into the midst of the action through wind, fog, and water special effects.
