Fashion designer Marc-Antoine Barrois unveils the captivating Aldebaran, a new scent infused with tuberose, in Paris.

In the world of fashion and fragrance, Paris couturier Marc-Antoine Barrois unveiled his latest creation, the single-note fragrance Aldebaran, during Milan Design Week. This groundbreaking floral scent, inspired by the nature-inspired seating collection, offers a unique olfactory experience that is both captivating and polarizing.

Named after a giant red star that shines 400 times brighter than the sun, Aldebaran is a testament to Barrois's creative vision. Composed by perfumer Quentin Bisch, the fragrance showcases a distinctive, hypnotic aroma, with milky facets of tuberose enhanced by the warm notes of paprika and Tonka bean.

The seating collection, part of a limited-edition collaboration between Barrois and designers Bouillot, is an elegant and modern interpretation of the tuberose flower. Each element is crafted to resemble over-sized pebbles, inspired by Barrois's beloved beaches of the Breton island, Belle-Île. The polished pebbles were scanned in super high definition to capture their curves, texture, and precise details, resulting in a collection that is both aesthetically pleasing and tactile.

The marble used in the seating collection was meticulously crafted and selected from enormous blocks in Italy, while the Aldebaran-infused tuberose flowers are sculpted from paper and lit by a pulsating bright globe, creating a sensorial mix-up that emanates hope and gives us nature expanded for the nose, eyes, ears, and finger tips.

Aldebaran is a departure from Robert Piguet's 1948 olfactory masterpiece, Fracas, with a clarity and luminosity that sets it apart. The nature-inspired seating collection will be available to purchase in the Marc-Antoine Barrois Paris and London flagship stores.

Barrois, an alumni of the Politecnico di Milano, has once again demonstrated his ability to bridge the gap between fashion and design, creating a fragrance and seating collection that is both innovative and captivating. Aldebaran will launch globally after Salone and will be available from Marc-Antoine Barrois boutiques and marcantoinebarrois.com. This collaboration marks Barrois's first foray into furniture design, adding another dimension to his already impressive oeuvre.

Aldebaran's radiant flame of fragrance, reminiscent of the star it's named after, serves as a testament to Barrois's innovative approach in the realm of fashion and design, extending from clothing to home decor with the Nature-inspired seating collection, crafted in collaboration with designers Bouillot. The exotic scent of Aldebaran, with its milky undertones of tuberose fortified by warm notes of paprika and Tonka bean, harmonizes beautifully with the modern, pebble-inspired design of the seating collection, presenting a fusion of luxury lifestyle products in fashion, fragrance, and home and garden aesthetics.
