A New Youth Center Opens in Heddesdorf, Neuwied
A new youth center has recently opened its doors to the young residents of Heddesdorf, Neuwied. Located at Dierdorfer Straße 39, the center offers a welcoming space for anyone aged 13 and above every Tuesday from 6 pm to 8 pm, with exceptions for holidays.
The grand opening of the youth center was celebrated by around 20 young people who gathered to enjoy a small buffet and self-planned activities. The event was graced by the presence of Mayor Peter Jung, Bernhard Fuchs, head of the municipal youth office, and Pastor Julia Arfmann-Knübel, who all wished the youth center all the best.
The center is run by the cooperation between the evangelical church and the city of Neuwied's children and youth office, which provides staff for the center. Two dedicated volunteers, Paulina Celbajev and Alexandra Hoffmann, are actively involved in the youth center, supervising, bringing new ideas, and offering activities for the teens from Heddesdorf.
Activities at the youth center include playing billiards, table football, table tennis, chatting, and relaxing. Many varied projects are planned for the future to make the center a favorite place for young people in Heddesdorf.
