Heilbronn Police Conduct Traffic Control Operation, Investigate Serious Accident
A traffic control operation was carried out on Federal Highway 6 near Breßfeld by Heilbronn Police on Thursday afternoon, resulting in several citations. During the operation, 11 violations of driving and resting time regulations were discovered, eight people exceeded their permitted driving time. Additionally, five vehicles had improperly secured loads, and some vehicles were found with vehicle defects and an MOT violation.
In a tragic turn of events, a traffic accident occurred on the main street around 4:30 PM in Pfedelbach, leaving a 10-year-old girl seriously injured. The girl crossed the road from the left and was hit by a car driven by a 41-year-old woman. The woman tried to brake to avoid a collision but unfortunately hit the girl with the right front of her car. The girl was thrown onto the road and suffered serious injuries. She was immediately taken to a hospital for treatment.
The driver was taken to a hospital for a blood test, and it was discovered that she did not have a valid driver's license. Furthermore, the driver exhibited signs of drug influence, which was confirmed to be THC during a test. The 41-year-old woman now faces multiple charges in connection with the accident.
Three other drivers were prohibited from continuing their journey during the traffic control operation for various violations. The investigation into the accident is currently underway by Heilbronn Police.
In a separate incident on Thursday evening in Öhringen, a car driver was stopped whose vehicle had faulty license plate lights and a broken left headlight.
