On the second day of the event, the Klima.Island continues to be the hub of eco-friendly activities and learning at Gladbeckerstraße 29. The event, part of the Future Initiative Klima.Werk, is supported by the Emscher Cooperative and runs from 10:00 to 15:00.

While the first day focuses on roof and facade greening, the second day offers a new set of content, with a garden architect, Thomas Schmid, giving lectures on stormwater management, rainwater, and garden planning.

Interactive and craft activities for children and youth are also on the agenda. Young visitors can participate by making seed balls and planting climate glasses to bring more green indoors. The second day's program also includes entries from the competition of the most beautiful natural gardens in Bottrop for inspiration.

On-site information and advice on building a green roof independently, however, is not available on the second day. A photo exhibition showcasing Bottrop's green roofs and facades, which was present on the first day, is not mentioned for the second day.

Visitors are welcome to continue their journey on the Gastronomy Mile of Gladbeckerstraße, where the event is located. The city administration is also present to provide information on building greening, rainwater, and garden design.

Whether you're a green thumb or just starting out, the Klima.Island event offers something for everyone interested in sustainable living and eco-friendly practices. The program is free, so come join us and contribute to a greener Bottrop!
