IsarFunk's 20-Year Commitment: Free Taxis for Women's Safety at Oktoberfest
IsarFunk, Munich's taxi center since 1998, has been supporting the 'Women and Girls for a Safe Wiesn' campaign at Oktoberfest for over two decades. The service provides free taxi vouchers to women and girls in distress, with more than 300 beneficiaries in previous years.
The campaign's support center, Safe Space, is situated within the Oktoberfest grounds. Kathrin Köstner, representing the Munich taxi sector, recently joined the initiative. Common reasons for using the service include lost wallets or theft. IsarFunk's partnership with Flughafen München GmbH since 2003 ensures reliable airport taxi services.
Despite extensive searches, no information was found on other public events or initiatives supported by IsarFunk in the past 20 years, apart from this campaign.
IsarFunk's commitment to women's safety at Oktoberfest remains steadfast, with free taxi vouchers available at the Safe Space. The service has proven beneficial, with hundreds of women and girls assisted in previous years. The taxi center's partnership with the airport also ensures smooth transportation for visitors.
