Library Introduces Repair-Café in Town Center
The City Library Bensberg, located at Schlossstraße 4651429 Bergisch Gladbach, played host to the Repair Café of SoNett e.V. on July 5, 2025. This event, a testament to sustainability and community spirit, took place from 12 PM to 3 PM.
Ramin Farzanehfar, a representative of SoNett e.V., a non-profit association from Bergisch Gladbach committed to sustainability, education, and participation, emphasised the importance of the Repair Café. "A Repair Café is lived sustainability - instead of throwing away, we rely on repairing, preserving, and learning together," he said.
The Repair Café is a project that encourages citizens to bring their defective everyday items like toasters, coffee machines, sewing machines, or smaller electrical appliances for repair. The event aims to strengthen community spirit while offering a platform for learning and sharing repair skills.
