Mannheim Library Expands Colibri Café Programme

Mannheim City Library is expanding its Colibri Café programme, offering new meeting points for various groups. The cafés provide free spaces for participants to interact, learn, and practice German.

The library is kicking off new Colibri Cafés for Women, Medical Professions, and Advanced Learners this October. The first meeting for Women is on October 15, followed by another on November 19, both held from 11 AM to 12 PM at the Central Library. Medical Professions can join the first meeting on October 8, and Advanced Learners can attend the inaugural session on October 10, both from 5 to 6 PM.

A new Colibri Café for Advanced Learners will commence in October, meeting every Friday from 2 to 3 PM at the Central Library. The 'Young Café Colibri', launched in early 2025, caters to young people aged 16 to 25, meeting every second Thursday from 5 to 6 PM.

All Colibri Café events are free and do not require registration. They aim to foster a multicultural environment for participants to enhance their German language skills and engage in meaningful discussions.
