Embark on an underwater adventure with the revamped aquarium tour at the Sea Museum in Stralsund! Recently opened, this exciting journey treats visitors to encounters with blue-spotted rays, sea turtles, and various other sea creatures.

Minister-President Manuela Schwesig (SPD) and Stralsund's Mayor Alexander Badrow (CDU) led the way as the first guests to jumpstart this aquatic excursion.

Dive into a stunning Caribbean reef from the water's surface to the depths, all thanks to an extraordinary eight-meter-tall Japanese pane gracing the largest tank. Three gallery levels offer eye-catching glimpses into the vibrant artificial corals beneath. The aquarium tour also presents a peek at the breathtaking underwater landscapes off the coasts of Fiji Islands and California.

The Sea Museum in Stralsund's old town, devoted mainly to exploring tropical seas, houses the oldest of the three locations of the German Sea Museum. A section of its exhibition underwent modernization as early as July 2024. The extensive renovation attracted financial support from both the federal and state governments, totaling 51 million euros. The renovated Sea Museum serves as a significant tourist and cultural draw, attracting numerous visitors.
