Martha Stewart Expands Retail Presence in Dubai and Plans for International Growth

Martha Stewart's retail stores are making a significant mark in the international market, with a recent launch in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and plans for further expansion in the near future.

The first standalone Martha Stewart store opened its doors at City Centre Mirdif, Dubai, followed by locations at Dubai Hills Mall and Mall of the Emirates, all debuting in 2025. This successful launch in Dubai serves as a stepping stone for the brand's international growth strategy.

Heath Golden, CEO of Marquee Brands, the owner of Martha Stewart's intellectual property, expressed his excitement about the new stores, stating that they are destinations for discovery, inspiration, and exceptional design. He added that these stores reflect Martha Stewart’s signature style and attention to quality and detail.

The retail rollout is a partnership between Marquee Brands and Apparel Group, a Dubai-based retail conglomerate with regional expertise and the retail license across Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and India. Apparel Group, which is also a partner in the Sur La Table store in Dubai, is headquartered in Dubai.

The Martha Stewart stores offer an immersive lifestyle retail experience, featuring products in categories including kitchenware, bedding, bath, home fragrance, and entertaining. These physical stores are designed to provide customers with a unique shopping experience that reflects Martha Stewart’s style and attention to detail.

Looking ahead, the expansion into India, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia is planned for 2026, but exact timelines for these openings have not been publicly announced yet. This move is part of a broader regional growth strategy anchored by Apparel Group and Marquee Brands.

Marquee Brands manages a portfolio of recognised retailers, which it acquired at the start of this year and includes BCBGMaxAzria, A Pea in the Pod, Ben Sherman, and Laura Ashley. The successful launch of Martha Stewart stores in Dubai and the planned expansion into other regions are testament to Marquee Brands' commitment to growing its retail portfolio.
