Fundraising VW Employee from Brunswick Captures Hearts: André Ebeling's Generosity for Syke's "Löwenherz" Children's Hospice Beckons Support
André, the compassionate VW employee from Brunswick, gears up for another heartfelt charity cycle ride.
Biking for a Purpose: The André Ebeling Story
For over eight thrilling years, André has been vigorously supporting the "Löwenherz" children's hospice in Syke near Bremen with his inspiring initiative, "Cycling for Löwenherz." Initiated with a mere €130, the cause has magnetized generosity, with a record-breaking €8,000 collected last year. "Year after year, it's my heartfelt passion to make a significant difference for this extraordinary facility," Andre proclaims. Feeling immense gratitude for the countless supporters, he shares, "The consistent growth of my project fills me with immense joy."
The Sad Reality: A Parent's Nightmare
As a diligent VW shift worker, André tirelessly organizes various fundraising strategies, one being the annual "Charity Day" at the Hygia Fitness Studio in Brunswick. The event, scheduled for September, was a resounding success last year, according to André, with an impressive assortment of fitness courses, special sauna treatments, food vendors, and kid-friendly activities. "My foremost aim is to ensure the 'Löwenherz' children's hospice consistently maintains stability and financial security for 'Cycling for Löwenherz'," he reflects.
Adhering to the motto, "No car, but a bicycle," the empathetic VW employee aims to symbolically pedal the collected funds back to Syke, approximately 180 kilometers away. On September 20, the hospice celebrates its birthday with an open day, and André plans to be in attendance. He intends to launch his journey aboard his blue touring bike from Eintracht Stadium in Brunswick in the evening before, weather permitting, and aims to cover the distance in roughly 14 hours.
