Offensive action initiated via Balcony-PV: Eprimo shuts down as two items are put on sale at a reduced price when purchased together

In a bid to promote the use of renewable energy sources, particularly solar power, eprimo, Germany's largest green energy discounter, has partnered with supermarket chain Netto Marken-Discount for a nationwide campaign. This initiative, known as the Balkon-PV-Offensive, aims to make solar energy more accessible and affordable for a wider audience, including tenants.

The campaign focuses on balcony photovoltaic (PV) systems, addressing a common barrier for renters—limited access to building roofs. By offering a practical, decentralized solar power solution, eprimo and Netto are encouraging tenants to install small-scale, easy-to-mount solar panels on their balconies. This allows them to generate their own electricity independently of the building owner and directly contribute to renewable energy usage.

As part of this long-term cooperation, new eprimo customers will receive a voucher worth up to €200 for a ready-to-plug-in mini PV system from Netto's online shop upon contract conclusion. This offer runs until August 31, 2025.

Moreover, eprimo aims to make high-quality solar systems affordable for more people through its solar campaign. Households can also save not only with eprimo's affordable eco-power tariffs but also on their own balcony power station during this period.

The goal of this PV offensive is to increase solar power usage, particularly in rental apartments. As of 2024, tenants in Germany will have the right to install a balcony solar system with their landlord's consent. This move is expected to further boost the adoption of solar energy in rental housing.

With this initiative, eprimo and Netto are taking a significant step towards making solar energy more accessible and affordable for a wider audience, contributing to Germany's goal of promoting the use of renewable energy sources.

  • This PV offensive by eprimo and Netto is not only revolutionary for renters but also a significant contribution to sustainable living, as it promotes the use of balcony solar systems, encouraging home-and-garden technology that aids in renewable energy sourcing.
  • With their initiative, eprimo and Netto are executing a strategic move towards a sustainable lifestyle, making high-quality solar systems more affordable through their campaign, which aligns with Germany's goal of advocating for technology that champions renewable energy usage.
