In the heart of Brasov, Romania, the "World Unseen" multisensory photography exhibition is now open to the public. This groundbreaking exhibition, developed by Canon Romania in collaboration with the "Grigore Antipa" National Museum of Natural History and the Brasov County History Museum, is a response to the global need for more inclusive cultural spaces.

The exhibition's goal is to promote inclusion and equitable access to culture across Romania. It is designed to make photography accessible to people with visual impairments or blindness, using advanced tactile printing, audio descriptions, and Braille texts to transform 12 photographic works into multisensory experiences.

Rareș Beșliu, the only Romanian photographer featured in the project, is among the globally acclaimed photographers showcased in the exhibition, including Brent Stirton, Sebastião Salgado, Samo Vidic, Heidi Rondak, Muhammed Muheisen, and others.

The exhibition is hosted at Olimpia - The Museum of Sport and Mountain Tourism and will remain open until September 14. Visitors can enjoy the exhibition from Tuesday to Sunday, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Entry fees are RON 10 for adults, RON 5 for pensioners, and RON 2 for children.

All audio content in the exhibition is available in English, making it accessible to both local and international audiences. The exhibition serves as a Deaf & Blind friendly environment that supports multisensory interaction with photography, ensuring that visually impaired visitors can experience the photographic art through touch and sound, complementing or substituting visual elements.

The "World Unseen" exhibition is part of an effort to promote inclusion and equitable access to culture across Romania. Over 2.2 billion people worldwide live with some form of visual impairment, including more than 84,000 in Romania, according to the Ministry of Labor and Social Solidarity.

Previous editions of the exhibition in Bucharest and Iași have attracted over 100,000 visitors and received positive feedback. If you need more specific details (e.g., exact availability of tactile prints or audio devices), directly contacting the organizers or the venue hosting "World Unseen" is recommended, as public-facing info is limited.
