Pioneer's product offerings will broaden in Kamchatka

In a bid to enhance the availability and affordability of local food products for Kamchatka residents, the governor of Kamchatka Krai has proposed an initiative involving both production facilities and retail outlets in the region.

At the core of this initiative lies the 'Pioneer' poultry farm, which is steadily recovering after a challenging period. The farm has recently welcomed newly arrived birds, and the chicks are developing faster than expected. By August, production of eggs at the farm is anticipated to reach up to 2.5 million units.

Control weigh-ins indicate that the birds are exceeding planned weight gain, a positive sign for the farm's recovery. In May, first-class eggs from the 'Pioneer' poultry farm are expected to be available, followed by second and third-class eggs in June. In total, approximately 100,000 units of eggs are expected in May and June combined.

The governor is actively engaging other producers in this initiative. The 'Pioneer' stores' inventory will now include products from the 'Kamchatka' greenhouse complex, which will provide vegetable products for the stores without markup. This move is part of the focus on providing affordable locally produced goods to Kamchatka residents.

The governor believes this direction is crucial for ensuring the affordability of local food products for the population. He is urging for this work to continue in other areas of Kamchatka Krai. The 'Pioneer' stores in Kamchatka Krai will now sell local goods in addition to poultry products.

Information about future producers involved in the sale of vegetable products to the 'Pioneer' store chain in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky is not publicly available at this time. However, the governor encourages the inclusion of more producers in this initiative, aiming to boost local production and make Kamchatka Krai self-sufficient in food supply.

By the end of the year, up to 5.5 million first-class eggs are planned for sale, a significant increase from the current production levels. This initiative is a step towards ensuring the food security of Kamchatka Krai and providing affordable locally produced goods to its residents.
