Questioning the Cost-Effectiveness: Museum in Repurposed Karstadt Building
Breathing New Life into Harburg: The Karstadt Building Project
Hey there! Get ready to dive into an exciting transformation happening in Harburg. The beloved Harburg Museum is igniting change by grabbing a generous 300,000 euros to set up an exhibition in the vacant Karstadt building. This project will see the creation of 400 square meters of exhibition space and a lecture area of 200 square meters, providing much-needed room for art and knowledge. With around 30,000 square meters available in total, there's plenty of space to dream and create.
In addition to the art and knowledge, we might envision a sustainable-living exhibit, incorporating other lifestyle concepts such as home-and-garden ideologies, showcasing ways to breathe new life into Harburg's townscape in alignment with the revitalization of the Karstadt building. If successful, this might inspire the people of Harburg to adopt a more other-oriented lifestyle, fostering a community that prioritizes sustainability and environmentally conscious living.
