Ready, set, launch! LEGO Group Unveils Initial LEGO Super Mario: Mario Kart Toy Sets
The world of LEGO and Mario Kart has collided, as the new LEGO Super Mario: Mario Kart sets were officially revealed at gamescom. These sets, set to launch on August 1, 2025, offer a fun way for fans to experience the Mario Kart universe in a physical LEGO setting.
Exciting New Sets
Several notable playsets will be released simultaneously, each with unique features that mirror the video game's activities such as racing, drifting, battling with shells, and gliding.
Wario & King Boo (set 72038)
This set features brick-built versions of Wario's Badwagon and King Boo's Teddy Buggy, each equipped with functions like shell-launching, drifting, and gliding. The Badwagon includes a detachable glider that can also be attached to the Teddy Buggy. The set includes two LEGO Super Mario figures and two traffic cones.
Bowser's Castle (set 72039)
A large set with 1,068 pieces, themed around Bowser’s iconic castle, incorporating detailed elements inspired by Mario Kart gameplay.
Interactive LEGO Mario & Standard Kart (set 72043)
This 278-piece set includes an interactive LEGO Mario figure and a Standard Kart, enhancing play with digital sound and visual effects linked to Mario Kart racing.
Additional Sets
Additional sets like Shy Guy & P-Wing (72045) and Piranha Plant Power-Up Pursuit (72044) will also be released, expanding character and vehicle options for LEGO Mario Kart fans.
Interactive Play

These sets will allow fans to continue creating and exploring their own Animal Crossing villages and fun in brick play.
