"Relocating Library for Optimal Benefit" or "Library Transition for Maximum Advantage"
The Brodsky Literary Community has announced a book drive in Krasnodar, set to take place from July 9 to 23. The initiative aims to collect unwanted books, magazines, and board games to benefit animal protection funds.
The exact collection points for the book drive have yet to be specified, but it is expected that they will be located in community centres, libraries, bookstores, or cultural institutions across the city. Participants are encouraged to check the official Brodsky Literary Community website or their social media channels for the most up-to-date information.
Local residents are invited to donate their books, with seven collection points available for drop-offs. "Dobryy-Yug" at 223 Stavropolskaya Street accepts books from Monday through Friday, from 10:00 to 17:00. The "Teplo" coffee shop at 268V Kommunarov Street is another collection point, open from 8:00 to 20:00. Those who bring more than 10 books will receive free coffee as a token of appreciation.
Other collection points include "Dom Kultury" at 136 Kommunarov Street, open Tuesday through Sunday from 11:00 to 20:00; "Location Coffee" at 139 Zhlyoby Street, open from 9:00 to 21:00; "Zacepi" coffee shop at 11 Navstnikov Street, open from 7:30 to 22:30; and the "Botanica" greenhouse at 69 Krasnaya Street, open from 12:00 to 20:00.
To drop off books, participants should leave them at the collection points with a note containing their name, phone number, and the number of books. For more details about the book drive, individuals are encouraged to contact the organizers directly.
The "On Your Own Wave" salon at 248G/1 Babushkina Street requires an appointment for book drop-off. The charity sale for the book drive will take place on July 26 and 27.
The Brodsky Literary Community has asked people to clear out their libraries for the event, requesting that all donated items be in good condition. This book drive is a fantastic opportunity for Krasnodar residents to declutter their homes while supporting a worthy cause. So, let's come together and make a difference!
Apart from donating books, participants might also consider contributing to the home-and-garden category, as some collection points may accept unwanted magazines related to lifestyle or home improvement. Additionally, enjoying a cup of coffee could be part of one's entertainment while making a difference, as some collection points, such as "Teplo" coffee shop, offer free coffee to those who donate more than 10 books.
