Reviving Old-World Charm and Bavarian Comfort at Oktoberfest:

The Oide Wiesn, a nostalgic folk festival attraction, is once again set to enchant visitors at Oktoberfest 2025. Located on the southern part of the Theresienwiese since 2011, this historic fairground offers a unique blend of Bavarian traditions and historical rides.

For families, the Oide Wiesn is a must-visit. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays (except October 3rd), kids aged six and up can enjoy free face painting from 2 PM to 6 PM. The clown also performs on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 AM to 3 PM, adding a touch of fun and entertainment for the little ones.

The Oide Wiesn features three large beer tents and a museum tent. The museum tent offers the cheapest liter of beer, making it an affordable option for visitors. The most expensive liter of beer can be found in the Tradition tent. For those who prefer non-alcoholic drinks, a lemonade fountain is available for one euro.

The Bavarian Language and Dialect Support Association provides dialect lessons throughout the week, offering a chance to immerse yourself in the local culture.

Historical rides in the Oide Wiesn cost 1.50 euros per person, significantly cheaper compared to the regular Oktoberfest. The organization responsible for operating these rides is traditionally the same that manages the Oide Wiesn area.

Entrance to the enclosed area of the Oide Wiesn costs four euros per person aged 15 and above. The beer tent operation starts at 10:00 and ends at 22:30. Tickets for the Oide Wiesn can be purchased online via Munich Ticket.

It's worth noting that the Oide Wiesn does not take place every year due to sharing its location with the Bavarian Central Agricultural Festival. However, for those fortunate enough to visit during its operation, the Oide Wiesn offers a special exhibition in the museum tent and a "Humoristic Velodrome" for children, making it a memorable experience for all.

The Oide Wiesn is particularly popular among families due to its colorful children's program and quieter atmosphere. Whether you're a history buff, a beer lover, or a family looking for a unique experience, the Oide Wiesn at Oktoberfest 2025 is not to be missed.
