Royals Expand Family with Four Cocker Spaniel Puppies
Prince William, Princess Kate, and their three children have welcomed four new members to their household, according to The Sun. The newest additions to the family are the offspring of their black Cocker Spaniel, Orla, who reportedly gave birth to a litter of four puppies.
Sources quoted by the newspaper report that mother and puppies are doing well, and the children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—are said to be thrilled with their new four-legged companions. They are hoping to keep these latest additions to the family.
Orla, a Cocker Spaniel, has been part of the family since 2020. She is the child of Luna, the dog belonging to Kate's brother James Middleton. The family's previous Cocker Spaniel, Lupo, passed away a few months after Orla joined them. In April, Kate and William shared a photo of Orla on their Instagram account to mark "National Pet Day."
As of now, Buckingham Palace has not confirmed the news. The royal family's history with Cocker Spaniels dates back to their engagement, when James Middleton gave Lupo to Kate and William as a wedding gift in 2011. Lupo, like Orla, was a black Cocker Spaniel.
