Shark Tank Backs Cup Board Pro, Inventor's Kids Honor Dad's Legacy

The Pro Board Cup, an innovative cutting board designed to reduce mess, has gained attention after a heartwarming pitch on Shark Tank by the inventor's children. The product, invented by New York City fireman Keith Young, aims to make food preparation cleaner and easier.

Keith Young, a firehouse chef, created the Pro Board Cup after noticing the mess caused by traditional cutting boards. The board features a unique cup attachment that catches liquid and discarded bits, keeping the workspace clean. A significant trough runs alongside the board's length, depositing collected liquid into the detachable cup for easy disposal.

Young's journey was cut short when he passed away from cancer, a result of exposure to 9/11 fumes. Before his passing, he left behind a wife who was battling breast cancer. Young paused his work on the Pro Board Cup to care for her.

In a touching tribute, Young's three children, a son, and two daughters, took over their father's dream. They appeared on Shark Tank, playing their father's audition tape during their pitch. All five Sharks were moved by the story and decided to invest, contributing $20,000 each for a 20% stake in the company. Notably, all profits from the Pro Board Cup will go towards charities supporting 9/11 first responders.

The Pro Board Cup, a simple yet innovative product, is now set to make a significant impact in the market and beyond. With all Sharks investing and profits going to charity, the Young family's legacy continues, honouring Keith's memory while making a difference in the lives of others.
