Shopping from the comfort of home now available in Ibbenbüren
The city of Ibbenbüren, Germany, is inviting everyone to join its month-long "Home Shopping" event, which began on September 15th, 2025, and will last until October 12th. The city center is transformed into a shopping paradise, offering not only a wide range of stores but also experiences and enjoyment.
Participating retailers and caterers are sending a signal for the strengthening of local retail. From Augenoptik Pölking to Zweirad Feldkämper, a variety of stores are taking part in the event, ensuring something for every generation and taste.
The Potato Festival "Tolle Knolle," marking its 35th edition, will occur on October 11th and 12th. The festival offers a varied program, including Sunday shopping, and a creative market featuring local artists and artisans will be held on September 27th. Additionally, a city center flea market will take place on September 20th.
The "Shop Local" initiative supports local businesses and jobs in Ibbenbüren. Everyone can participate - whether regular customers or curious new discoverers. A special highlight of the event is a stamp action, where participants can collect stamps in stores (maximum four from the same store) within four weeks. Fill out the stamp card and hand it in at the Tourist Information at Neumarkt 39 to enter the draw for prizes. The first prize is a brand new E-bike worth approximately €3,800, sponsored by Zweirad Feldkämper. The second prize is a trendy E-scooter, sponsored by expert RIAL-Kauf Ibbenbüren, and the third prize is a travel voucher worth €500, sponsored by Reisebüro Strier.
