Taipei Celebrates Pride Month with LGBTQ+ History Exhibition and Rainbow Bus Tours

Taipei City is celebrating Pride month with a special exhibition and sightseeing bus tours. The 'Taiwan LGBTQ+ History Exhibition' is on display at the Red House in Wanhua District from October 2 to 31. Meanwhile, rainbow sightseeing bus tours, featuring drag queens and influencers as guides, are running every Thursday through Sunday until October 26.

The exhibition offers a glimpse into Taiwan's LGBTQ+ history, while the bus tours provide a unique way to explore Taipei's LGBTQ-friendly landmarks. Regular tours run every Thursday through Sunday, with special 'Party Tour' trips coinciding with major events like the Drag Room drag competition finals and the Taipei International Drag Festival.

The Tourism Bureau of the Taipei City Government has partnered with over 30 LGBTQ-friendly hotels for this initiative. These hotels offer special discounts and promotions during the tours. The bus tours stop at notable LGBTQ+ landmarks such as the Red House and Ketagalan Boulevard, where passengers can enjoy drag performances and talk shows.

Taipei City's Pride celebrations this year include the 'Taiwan LGBTQ+ History Exhibition' and rainbow sightseeing bus tours, attracting both locals and tourists. These events follow the city's legalization of same-sex marriage in 2019 and the annual Taiwan LGBT+ Pride event, which falls on October 25 this year.
