Tale Tapestry - Episode 3
In the fantastical realm of Paul McCann's "Fairytale Collection", Chapter 3, titled "The Fairy Who Chases Rainbows", we follow the enchanting journey of Deezer, a fairy, and Peggy, a winged horse named after the mythical Pegasus.
The story begins with Deezer and Peggy enjoying a day filled with magic. Deezer makes fairy floss for everyone to savour, and soon enough, a winged horse named Peggy arrives, ready to embark on an adventure. They fly through tunnels in the sky, passing by the windows of time, where silent dream makers watch and wave as they fly by.
The shadow Keeper, a strange creature, introduces himself and warns them that they are in Shadowland, a place where fairies and flying horses are not welcome. Despite the warning, Peggy suggests chasing rainbows with the fairy. The shadow Keeper, however, lifts the cloak of shadows and wishes them luck in finding their way.
The King of Flight, intrigued by their daring spirit, summons the Owls of the night to bring Peggy and Deezer to his garden to celebrate the Dance of the Dragonflies Dream. Wild flowers bloom, and a happy Muttondog emerges from a bog, bringing a pipedream cake on a stickleback plate to share.
As the dragonflies recognize Deezer as the one who chases rainbows for the King with her friend the flying horse, the fairy hears the song of a dragonfly. Peggy and Deezer fly off to a place in the sky to chase rainbows, their spirits soaring as high as the clouds.
However, as the sun begins to set, they must return to the Mountain of Mists. Deezer wakes up inside a lovebird's nest at the top of the Mountain of Mists, where her wings had grown. A dragonfly speaks to her about the King's pleasure with her dance and the opportunity to dance again on every breeze that blows.
This whimsical adventure continues as Deezer and Peggy navigate the enchanting world of "Fairytale Collection", reminding us all of the magic that lies within the realm of imagination.
In the midst of their journey, Deezer and Peggy decide to take a break and read entertaining stories from various books they find in the lovebird's nest atop the Mountain of Mists. Taking inspiration from their adventures, they dream of redecorating their home-and-garden once they return, incorporating elements of their travels into their lifestyle.
