Theater Equips with Enhanced Audio Equipment, Boosting Capacity to 500 Seats
**New CODA Audio CiRAY System Transforms Audio Experience at Hongcheon Culture and Arts Centre**
The Hongcheon Culture and Arts Centre in South Korea has recently upgraded its audio provision in its 500-seater theater, with the installation of a CODA Audio CiRAY system. This system was chosen for its ability to offer high output and flexibility, meeting the demands of the venue for a competitive, high-quality solution.
The CiRAY system employs advanced line source technology, providing highly controlled vertical dispersion for even sound coverage over long distances. Its modular and scalable design allows for flexible configuration to suit different room sizes and acoustic requirements.
The main flown system in the theater consists of 16 CiRAY loudspeakers (eight per side), with four HOPS8i point source loudspeakers mounted on the auditorium ceiling to ensure complete coverage of the seats. Four SCV-F compact 18-inch subwoofers were deployed (two per side) to complement the main system.
Two portable CUE TWO compact stage monitors were used for floor monitoring, while two HOPS8i and two HOPS12i were wall-mounted for onstage side-fill monitoring. The installation of the audio system at the Hongcheon Culture and Arts Centre utilized CODA's proprietary prediction software, System Optimiser.
Paul Ward, director of global business development for CODA Audio, praised Soundus, the Seoul-based specialist company that engaged for the installation, for their work in Korea and the choice of CiRAY for the Hongcheon Arts Centre project. The Hongcheon Culture and Arts Centre's representatives were satisfied with the sound quality and performance after the system installation.
